Industry case studies and induction checklists

It’s been a busy start to the year in the world of online inductions! The team at GetOnSite is growing and we’ve been improving the look and feel of our platform, so we’ve taken the time to write down what we’ve been up to so that we could share it with you. We focus on industry case studies and induction checklists.

New dashboard is live!

The GetOnSite platform is now sporting a redesigned welcome dashboard, providing a snapshot of activity for users.

It’s now even easier to:

  • Preview lists – visually view identification lists such as CSCS card expiry dates
  • Access useful links – add/edit users, add new inductions and watch training videos
  • View key information – such as access codes and completed inductions

In addition, a new level of permission, called viewer, has been added.

  • Primary – able to view, verify, add additional notes and supporting evidence, edit induction slides, manage account users (add/delete users and assign permissions) and allocate warning flags
  • Editor – able to view, verify, add notes, upload supporting evidence, edit induction slides, check-in operatives and download reports
  • Viewer – able to read induction logs, check answers to questions, check-in operatives and download reports

Find out how Britannia streamlined their induction system through an industry case study

Following completion of a recent project, we chatted to Neil Rakestrow, HSEQ Manager at Britannia. Neil had identified that resources could be saved by reducing time spent conducting group training on site.

After moving inductions online, the company benefited from immediate improvements in operations on site. In addition, they noticed that long term efficiency was gained in controlling the quality of inductions.

How do online inductions work?

How do online inductions really work, I hear you ask! Upgrading your manual induction onto a fully contactless online induction system is easier that you think. Even before Covid-19, the pace of digital acceleration was speeding up, and it’s only going to get faster!

The use of technology has helped to streamline processes and assisted in creating virus-free environments. Inducting employees prior to arrival at work just makes good sense, and we do all the heavy lifting! “It was easy to see the benefits that moving inductions online would have on saving time and money. But you also need to ask yourself ‘how do you control the quality’? – GetOnSite does that for you!”
